Look at this amazing Schecter Banshee. I love it. But I really dislike the Floyd Rose. I do not get along with the Floyd Rose when it is string time or set up time. Someone else will do that for me. Still a great guitar under 600 dollars. Amazing. Now I need to go buy one used. My Schecter with Floyd is nothing like this one. Just plain black basswood.

I found the picture online. Now I need to find on used. My Schecter is just cheap basic black with a Floyd Rose.

Cool. I like the green Cort, Kiesel, style guitars as well.

I picked this one up a year ago on SDoD. The Banshee is a sweet guitar.

Any flaws or draw backs at all besides the Floyd Rose. I always have issues with the Floyd.

None. I was a bit wary of the FR as well. I set it up following a YT video, and have had no issues with it. Stays in tune with only minor tweaks at the bridge from play to play,

I believe these can be found in a hard tail as well…

Only in 2 colors. Red , black. And not in the orange or blue.

    .

Measure the post separation and see if that matches a regular Fender two post trem. If so then swap. More challenging is plugging and redrilling to fit a Fender trem if they are not the same, but it's doable.

Block the trem. Eric Clapton approves of blocking a trem. So do it to the Floyd. You'll still have the string change fiddly methods but they are lessened when the bridge is blocked. Remove the clamps from the nut.

Remove the trem, fit a solid block into the body cavity. Bolt down a fixed Strat bridge (or a Tele half-bridge) and have a hard-tail guitar. If you just screw the block in you can always go back to original.

Really? No to much work involved. Why just not buy one and have someone service it when it needs it just like I said?

Or, learn to do a proper set up with the Floyd and enjoy playing Brad Gillis’s greatest hits all while staying perfectly in tune.

That would be amazing as a hard tail.

If you can setup a regular strat floating trem, setting up a FR is not much more involved. It’s the FR specials and other knockoffs that give FR’s a bad name. Once they are properly setup, they are rock solid.
