Boooo. That sucks. The satin neck thing is lame too, but I would've polished that. If the neck is skinny, there's just no way.Indonesia and s. Korea . Factory’s.. indo handles the entry level (500) s Korea -1k > schecterguitarresearch.com has good spec sheets on all their models . Everything but the weight. They all seem to be built for speed.
How Thin are the necks?
How Thin are the necks? Like Ibanez Wizard thin? That might be a deal breaker for me
That's on the solo-ii? That is fairly thin, but not much thinner than I like. I wonder how much different a 10th of an inch will feelNot too thin. Is comfortable for me but I like a thinner neck really.

Wow, that's niceI have a 2003 Schecter C-1 Classic.
Based on my experience with it I would buy another Schector.
Great features, well built with top quality parts.
Arched Quilted Maple top, 2 octave Maple and Walnut Neck-thru construction, Mahogany body wings, Seymour Duncan pickups,
TonePros T3BT TOM w/ String Thru Body bridge setup,
Graph Tech Tusq XL Nut, Grover tuning machines...
A lot of guitar for reasonable money.
Plays excellent, with low action and sound great.
It has jumbo frets and the neck isn't super thin or thick, feels good in my hands.
It is a bit gaudy with the neck inlay but some people really like that.
Personally I would rather have a less flashy inlay, but I got it used under $200 w/HC needing only a Pot repair so yeah, I'll live with it

Extreme value on the used market
How does the neck feel? Thin/thick, wide/slim?I have a Schecter Damien Elite. For the money, about £560 UK if I remember right, I can't fault it. Good quality build, EMG active pickups, great sounding guitar. View attachment 513642
Thank youWow, that's nice

Have owned the Apocalypse? I’ve wondered about that one though I’m not much of a shredder or metal headWhat model are you looking at? I've owned dozens of Schecters.
I tend to prefer fatter necks, but my explorers have slim taper necks and I don't feel much of a difference. I think they may be a little wider though. I really like that schecter I'm looking at, but I don't want to be disappointed by the feel. Either way, guitar center has a good return policy.View attachment 513687 I guess the neck is a little thinner than some of my other guitars
Honestly with my playing style I never even noticed until tonight
I’m totally satisfied with my C1 Platinum though .
These ones are pretty damn spectacular and just amazing!!!I have had this one for about 2 weeks and it is a screamer. Solid build, great options and look. Only drawback for me so far is the locking nut height when playing one song I know and movement up the board in the riff. Bought it used in perfect condition. Based on this guitar I would buy another Schecter. Original price was $1,229 now at $859. Picked this one up with a form fitting flight case for $500.
