I think that the failure to reconstruct Arecibo is a national/global disgrace.

I've been on site at the VLA in New Mexico once in a science based capacity and twice in cinematic/photographic endeavors...

And it is impressive no question. But...as a simple visual testimony to deep space exploration it was the symbol.

I like that SKA is happening...
And I fear that Mr. Smelly Ox will somehow find a way to corrupt it. There are already concerns about his satellites and the interference they will pose...
