I did that once. My friend Andrew and I were the photonics (light science) department at our university. We spent weeks designing and assembling a 5watt argon laser to bounce off the reflectors left on the moon by the Apollo missions...because. We mapped and charted and calculated and measured and drank much beer in preparation for our big moment. And.... We missed. Hit Neptune who got really pissed and hired Mars to fu*k us up.
