Awesome news! Congrats. The more the merrier and the sooner we can get back to normal-ish.

I'm on the vulnerable list because of medication so they pushed me up the line. I'll get my second one on June 10th. Silver lining, I'll take it.

I looked at it as, I'm gonna get covid so if a vaccine can greatly reduce the effects of that nasty thing. Then I'm in.

    Good luck!

Congrats! It really is a relief. We got our second shots 8 days ago. It feels liberating.

Love those shirts, love that one in particular. It was one I picked out as a possible Father's Day gift.

Only got my first one last week
I was trying like hell to find the one shot & done but, ...

I f'n hate needles. They just freak me out.
Had to watch the guy in front of me first & almost walked back out.
The girl that stuck me was great
When the needle come out I looked away.
By the time I looked back she was throwing the empty away.
    I was like ....no chit?
But man, my arm hurt that night.
Really NOT looking forward to that part again.
But it's summer, we been locked up a year & dam it... I wanna do some fun stuff with my grandkids again.

My wife and I get our second 24 June.
It will be interesting how liberated we actually feel, I think it will take time to get back to normal.

Can't wait to see the grand kids:)

Congrats @SoulSurfer , I know exactly the feeling you’re having. It’s been 3 weeks past the second for me, 1 week past for my wife. We both got lucky, zero side effects for either of us. I never even felt the needles, shots just don’t effect me, just spiders . If there’s a giant arachnid war, I’m out .

I was considered "fully vaccinated" on 5/28, and yes, it feels great! I can't say that I'm behaving much differently, but there's much more of a sense of hope and that things are trending in the right direction. A multi-family vacation that was postponed from last year is going to take place later this month, very exciting!

I do hope we can find ways to urge more Americans to get vaccinated, I get the sense at supply vastly exceeds demand right now and before long there'll be major incentives to get the shots. I've heard some places are offering big lottery prizes already!

My son has been in Canada since the start of the pandemic. He's a snowboard/ski instructor and would have been off to New Zealand and then back to Canada but the mockers were put on that.

He's 32 and just got a first Pfizer jab and is booked for the second in October!! Maybe that will improve if supplies improve??

He's applying for PR but may not get the required working hours as his teaching was curtailed last season.

I actually lost smell completely for 2 months and now 6 months from it some odors are still almost unnoticeable or very different.

    coffee tastes like wet cardboard
    Eggs taste like onions
    Cant smell skunks
    Can't smell onions and garlic

it's not too bad but when I hear people say it's just a flu... they either got lucky with the symptoms or never had it.

my nose felt like I was breathing inside a hot stove for a week, i had weaknesses and headaches like when you get pool water inside your nose.

    definetly something different

Kinda seems like the US has about met the threshold where those left unvaccinated are bent on staying that way. So, yeah, we've got some extra juice.

    Sigh.

Health Canada determined that a 4 month period between shots was the best way to get more shots in arms given the limited amount of vaccine available at the time.

This seems to have been a good plan as Canada has the highest percentage of first shots of the G20 countries (65% 12 years and older).
They are now predicting that by the end of September, everyone in Canada who wants a shot will be fully vaccinated.

If your son is here in British Columbia, 72% of adults and 70% of people over the age of 12 have received their first dose.

Our Province was hit hard at the beginning but has been very aggressive in fighting this horrid lurge.

Hope your son has good luck with his PR status.
