I'm so fed up with getting multiple messages like this:

    "Is this still available?"

    "Still available?"

I reply: "Yes, still for sale. Let me know if you want to come see it."

    No response.

They hit that button by mistake on their phones, that's what happens....it shouldn't even be there. They should have to type in a response. Blame Facebook.

I buy and sell on marketplace and it has been easy and pleasant.

As for those messages, a lot of them are created accidentally by users browsing ads on their phones. It's very easy to mistakenly send them since they just require a single touch.

I have had such good experiences buying and selling on Facebook. A look at their profile gives you bunches of good info that you do not ordinarily have buying and selling.

I've done well on FB but I hate it when people say they hit that button on mistake.

This is a bit off topic, but am I the only one to have been messaged on more than one sale by someone claiming they own exactly the same item, but their's has just gone wrong, so they'll buy mine for some silly low price? I don't know why anyone would do that. Do they think it gives them some sort of leverage or claim? One guy actually told me what time he could arrive to collect, even though I hadn't agreed to sell and he didn't know my exact address!

I replied to a CL ad the other day. Asked if I could arrange to see the guitar that was for sale. No response other than they raised the price of the guitar right after I sent the email. LOL! You just can't figure some people.

Same guy offers you the same lowball price or crappy trade four or five times

Um yeah, we’ve done this dance five times already! No thanks. I don’t want your pool table with two broken legs

I like the guys that live 100 miles away and expect you to lower the price because they have to travel so far. o_O
