No, that is the only version of the loaded pickguard. There is a Classic Stack Plus set, though (not loaded in a pickguard).

Hey Dave, is there a volume drop between the stacked mode and the coil split mode? Wondering if I get mine wired in 2 and 4 for automatic coil split would there be a drop on volume ?

I don't hear a volume drop. You should be fine.

Stacked strat pu’s are a compromise, without exception, and they mostly suck split. If you’re buzz-phobic...condolences. SC,s are God’s personal choice in pickups.

Do you have yours wired for the split option? Wondering how it sounds.

    • Custom Stack Plus in bridge position
    • Classic Stack Plus in middle position
    • Vintage Hot Stack Plus in neck position
    We'll see :)

I think the SSL-1 is Alnico 5. The Alnico Pro II is the APS-1.

Different magnets. Alnico Pro II is the same power, but darker sounding.

    Classic Stack 4 set

Also switching from a TBX to a 250k pot and .022 cap made a huge difference.

Also did a push pull with bridge always on so I can get bridge + neck now in addition to the mid boost.

No no. All quiet all the time.
I like that fat warm Trower vibe. I use EB Beefy Slinky dropped a whole step. Wiggle bridge pinned down as well, no float. Sounds giganto.

Also, it's rare I even use the bridge pickup, except on my Elite, which has a Lollar imperial there.

Totally agree on the fat tone with some chime on top. Love these pickups. The fender vintage Noiseless PUPs were pretty good but the Duncan stacks are a few notches above them
