Isn't the bridge pickup a STK-S4 also? Is it stronger in output because you raised it closer to string?

Good to know, I was in the impression the STK-S4b was a bit hotter just to match in level with STK-S4n and STK-S4m. If the STK-S4b is also a bit higher output than it must be a very good set.

It’s a fantastic set! The bridge is a tad higher output and it cuts thru nicely. And I know I keep saying this but If there’s a difference bt them and a true single coil set I can’t tell it. The only very small nuance is that the classic stacks are more rounded and smoother in trebles and not the bite that you in some single coils. I actually like the rounded higher end better anyway as I find it be more pleasing to listen to and not harsh

Do you happen to have a link or diagram for this wiring set up? I just got a set and would like to wire them up like this.

    Thanks!

    Thank you very much!!

I have not yet! I am waiting on the boarders here to open up so that my friend can bring down all the parts for my next builds..

    Hopefully in September.

    Just ordered a couple push/push 250k pots.

So the red wires just get taped?
and the bare wire goes to ground? or gets taped as well?

Are you going to wire the coil splitting as well?

yes red get taped and bare goes to ground

you’re gonna love these pickups. The 7 way wiring pairs soooo well with those

I was not planning on coil splitting.

    I can't wait!!

I really would like the 7 way wiring.. adding the bridge ..

Also a tone for the bridge..

Can the push/push or pull be used on a tone instead of the vol?

So I'd follow the wiring but use The tone pot instead of the Vol?

Not sure I understand what would have to go where for that?

Absolutely. I have 5 different dirt pedals (fuzz face, Friedman BE OD, Wampler Plexidrive, Prince of Tone and a Triangle PI) Marshall amp and a Blackstar. All of those sound great running with the STK 4’s. They are low gain with a balanced EQ (ie 50’s) so they handle OD extremely well Lots of chime on tap too so they sing with some sustain.

Spent some time with my HSS Strat with STK-S4 N and M tonight. These are hands down, the finest "single coils" I have ever heard.

They do everything so well. Very touch responsive and they are equally at home either clean or cranking through a bunch of pedals into a smoking tube amp.

I love these things and will probably put them in my next Strat too.

    Seymour Duncan 59/Custom Hybrid. TB-16, I believe.

That thing is incredible too. It pairs really well with the SCs and it also is very dynamic and responsive.

Didn’t you have the coil tapping option installed as well in the STK 4’s?

No, not on my guitar. No splitting on the H or the SCs.

I might consider adding that in the future but for now, there is already a huge range of great tone options without the coil splitting to keep me well satisfied.
