The guy who invented the feather lite duty adhesive for Post-It notes was trying to make a superglue to end all superglues....

I wish I would succeed wildly when I fail big time !

Super Glue, also known as cyanoacrylate, was originally discovered in 1942 by Dr. Harry Coover.

Coover was attempting to make clear plastic gun sights to be put on guns used by Allied soldiers in WWII. One particular formulation he came up with didn’t work well for gun sights, but worked fantastically as an extremely quick bonding adhesive.

Surprisingly, despite the commercial potential of such a product, Coover abandoned that formulation completely as it obviously wasn’t suitable for his current project, being too sticky.

I have found that the fecking of non-spouses seems to be a recurring theme. Drug abuse, to include alcohol, is pretty common too.

I was a copier technician for a while before my current job. I have pulled quite a few unfinished copies of people's butts out of machines and replaced the glass they broke from sitting on it. My favorite part of these calls was the look on people's faces when they had to admit what happened due to the obvious evidence. People always lie when they break a machine by doing something stupid but with that there's no hiding the truth.

You forgot, you're being launching to the moon from Earth in your scenario. The amount of speed you'd need to make it there would incinerate you before you ever made it out of the atmosphere, much less touched down on the cheesy goodness.

Well Richard Feynman did say "if you think you understand quantum mechanics, then you really don't understand quantum mechanics."

They use the heat shields on re-entry to Earth's atmosphere, not when leaving it.
As you go higher and faster (in a hypothetical fart flight) the atmosphere gets thinner , so
the danger of overheating diminishes. My calculations show that the top half of a
Port-a-potty (bottom half remove for thrust release) will provide adequate protection.
