I don't care for 24 fret guitars. It pushes the neck pickup out of the sweet spot.
Just realized I posted the 1000th reply in this thread. Popular thread for a bunch of unpopular opinions.
Being unpopular is pretty popular these days.
Oh Lumbergh, you just can't get by without your complete set of "alternate facts" can you, you silly boy
Guitars are not alive.
Antigua burst is cool.
Purple Sparkle strats are gorgeous
I do not like Bigsbys and Floyd Rose systems.
I would not, could not, on my Les Paul.
I would not, could not, on a Strat.
Not on a PRS, not on a Gretsch.
I would not like them, here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.
I do not like them, Sam I Am.
There is no noticeable tonal difference between alder and basswood.
Here are mine:
- Stevie Ray Vaughan is overrated. He's a good player but his solos are generic and boring.
- Gibson SGs are ugly guitars (with some exceptions.)
- A Fender Stratocaster's bridge pickup sounds fine without the tone pot wired to it.
How about avocado burst??
Mmm avocado burst
Only on my toast. [emoji6]
Gold plate does not make the guitar sound muddy. I love some CBS Antigua color guitars. The more you pay the better it is not any more. Old Harmony Sears guitars are sweet. True Tone from Kay is fine guitars. D'Armond pickup's are sweet. I love some Teisco guitars. Norlin Gibson's are great guitars.
Most "boutique" gear is wildly overpriced and overrated, and it gets talked up on forums mostly by people who (over)paid for it.
Yes. With fried egg. Fried egg burst?
Brick Steinbergers aren't as comfortable to play as they are cracked up to be.
