Baggage handlers obviously not guitar players.
Which is why you should *never* check a guitar, unless it's in an actual flight case.
I've never checked a guitar on a flight, and looking at this video, I never will!
Reminds me of ups
Remember those days when the cabin crew would put your guitar in the crew wardrobe when you took it on board? You would have to be a certain age if you do.
NEVER NEVER check your musical instrument. You’re just tempting fate.
I don’t find it shocking in the least that an airport baggage handler would treat a guitar case like any other piece of luggage.
Give the baggage guys a break. They're just trying to relic them.
Not shocked at all….it’d have been shocking if they handled with care.
I think I've got the ultimate checked guitar story. I was going to Seattle for a few days and just had to have a guitar, so just brought a banged up old LTD I used to own and thought if something happens to it, oh well. It doesn't come down the baggage chute so I got referred to oversize baggage. This guy brings it out complete with a new ding in the side of the case. I thought ehh, no big deal, the case was already in bad shape.
Then it got interesting. The guy said you don't have an external lock on this, did you even declare it? Puzzled I said why I would declare it? He said because you have to declare firearms. I just started laughing "Yeah, Cabela's was all out of the the double scoped cases so I used this instead. IT'S A GUITAR!!!".
Yep. I also remember when British Airways refused point blank to allow us to take a guitar on-board as hand luggage. In the end, they said that it either went in the hold, or didn't go at all. Unfortunately, it was the first Bond Electraglide, and when it arrived in Paris there was something rattling inside.
Dale Watson had a great tune about United breaking guitars. It got pulled.
But this guy found out, and shtf.
Shocking indeed! 56 seconds of advertising and only 10 seconds of actual footage
How JBs 59 rides.
I was just going to say that
