I have become...I no longer can tolerate any kind of stupidity. I’m having a strong feeling that “I have nothing to lose” and the willingness to punch someone in the face without any regret If I don’t log-on for 24 hours, be sure that I was put into jail
Any suggestion? The quantity and high stupidness quality of the people I come across every single day is unbelievable. I’m usually very calm to freezing level, but not anymore. Last time I had a fight was in high school, so I have accumulated energy inside me that if I punch someone I’d make 10 small copies of them lol
i believe i feel your pain, i think many people are savages because no one has ever put them in their place. i do not like violence and i am no tough guy but giving someone the fear of being bopped in the nose like they never dreamed is the only thing that works in the jungle. i can not afford the price the law would make me pay if i had to face the judge so i do breathing exercises and try not to deal with anything dumber than myself. and play guitar when i can !
Whoever/whatever it is that’s angering you, you’re giving them what they want. Don’t let them have power over you by becoming angry. Yes, I know, it’s far more easier said than done. Believe me, I know. Take your frustrations out by playing guitar.
I try to keep in mind that I am someone elses complete idiot to deal with. We are all that guy sometimes.
I can be a pretty angry dude sometimes, so I get it. However my advice to you is to seriously chill out. People are going to test your patience. Rise above it.
Being on the receiving end of idiocy is a bit trying at times, and yeah, a good kick in you know where would do some people a lot of good, it's just not feasible for me to be the one doling it out . So I ignore it as best I can and get on with my life . I feel your pain my friend
I hear ya. I think a lot of it is the gradual rewiring of our brains by social media. Used to be, you'd find a lot of a-holes on the newsgroups, but they were relatively normal people in person. The increased exposure to stupidity and inconsideration increased acceptance of it, and now we are seeing more and more people act out in "real life" the same way they act out online... and the level of stupidity online continues to increase.
I think I'm right when I say you have to deal with the 'general public' on a daily basis? If I'm correct, this is probably the basis of your anger and anxiety. Having spend many years interfacing with anyone who had the intelligence to operate a door, I came to understand that the people I regarded as 'normal' were in fact a rarified strata of society where intelligence, an ability to explain and consideration to others was indeed the norm. It slowly dawned on me that, although I never went to university and never regarded myself in any way elitist, I probably had very little interaction with 90% of society. Until I worked in a shop. Oh man, dealing with anyone who comes through that door is a whole new deal! The angry. The self-entitled. The people who can't explain what they want then get aggressive when you haven't delivered what they didn't ask for... Is that where you are right now? You don't seem like the kind if guy who would give up on humanity in general!
I work in a highly technical field, doing work that many would not be able to do, among other well paid people doing the same work I do and........some of them are still idiots.
