WOW!! Outstanding, I think I’ll get one . With a few lessons from you of course.
Do you like being able to dial in a 'cocked wah' tone sometimes (as in the post above)?
Never underestimate Mr. Hammer when he's got his rig going.
'Nuff said.
Im sure a lot would be interested, and your expertise is always welcomed and appreciated![]()
Well, it's always the player first and not the gear imo.yes as that shows more the player than the actual pedal itself, Norm is da man fo shure![]()
that's why Mr. Hammer is going to sound like himself if he's playing through my rig, and i will sound
like myself even if i'm playing through his.
Agreed 100% but that takes many many hours & years of practice and playing to achieve![]()
I'm really surprised at all the "Meh, maybe" answers. To me, there is not a more fun pedal to use than a wah. It makes your playing so much more physical, if you use one then you know what I mean. I have never owned any other brand of wah than Dunlop and I cannot say a bad word about them.
I have a Dunlop 535Q which used to be my main wah. It is so adjustable with the Q (freq) dial, the sweep range control, plus volume and boost controls. I have 2 boards so I also picked up a Dimebag CFH wah, which also has pretty much the same controls as the 535Q plus a toe-down sound adjuster, a rocker tension adjuster, and LEDs for pedal-on and boost-on. The LEDs are awesome, especially the pedal-on LED because 1) if you have been switching on and off, you just don't know if the wah is on unless you play and that's is not a mid-performance option sometimes so the visual cue is just great. The CFH wah is pretty much the most customizable wah you can get, but I'll be honest I like the 535Q a bit more. But maybe simpler is better because I decided to get a Jerry Cantrell wah for no other reason that he is one of my favorite guitarists and his wah work is pretty amazing. And supposedly this wah is built to his specs. There is really only one control dial for toe-down frequency but the sound of this wah is really amazing. It's my #1 even with all the controls on the other two wahs. I just like its sound the best. My point here is that you can get a big range of sounds between various wahs and you would be best to try some if possible or at least check out some YouTube demos. Good luck.
