My latest Squier, a Squier II strat. Made in Korea with lots of fun differences... japanese made Gotoh tuners (Kluson copies), pencil-thin neck, and electronics that look as good as any strat I've ever seen.

Here is my Affinity Special. I got it in a "Stop dreaming and start playing" value pack. I am very happy with it and love the sunburst finish.

It is a Squier, it appears to have a Strat body, but wierdest of all, it has a $ 193 Warmoth Boatneck 1 +11/16ths neck costing more than most Squiers.

But I gotta tellya, this is the biggest playing Squier I've ever played.

E-series Squier, circa 1985-1986.

Made in Japan.
Basswood (or Alder).
Bone nut.
Gotoh tuners.
All original parts (or so I can tell: bought it just two weeks ago).

Still getting used to the neck profile (quite slim, with little shoulder), but she does play very well.

Well-played previously (some wear in the board at the 1st fret).

Stock pups sound great, and the basswood gives it a really warm, throaty tone. Overall, very nice guitar to play. Just gotta get used to that neck!

Deliverance
Squier Affinity Special
3-piece Alder body--these are 5mm thinner than conventional Strats.
My favorite neck that's been on 3 different Telecasters:)
GFS Texas Premium pickups
Master volume/tone with push/pull tone knob to engage bridge in any position.
This adds bridge/neck & bridge/middle/neck

I've had four Squiers total. The two that I sold were a VJ white Strat with a locking trem (I don't miss the locking trem) and a VJ Butterscotch blonde Tele that I wish I still had.

That's a Squier 51.....one of the most sought after recent Squiers. They sold for $99 at Guitar Center. The rotating "tone" pot gives humbucker tone and if you pull it out it clicks and gives a single coil. The bridge was the weak point. Most guys swap the bridge. Hang onto that guitar.

If you pull the tone selector (for single coil) and then turn both pickups on you can get a great out of phase Strat tone. Ton's of tone from an affordable Squier. That's a keeper.

Here's the first Squier that I bought. It's a black and chrome. However, it is currently in pieces awaiting re-assembly. It has been clear coated and few of the parts have been upgraded.

Yo know, I must agree that the black with black head stock looks sharp. The rosewood fretboard helps as well. With the clear coat it looks really sharp. I added Grover tuners and a black Graphtech nut as well. The only thing I don't really like about this guitar is the pick guard, so I have a pearloid white loaded with GFS Premium Overwound pups. Hopefully, I will get around to reassembly within a couple of weeks.

There's white w/white headstock right ext to a blue w/blue head stock at my local dealer. At first blush, I wasn't that much of a fan of the look. But the more I see them, the more I like them.

I picked up a Squier strat in a pawn shop at the weekend. 1993-94 (P-serial) Made In Japan. The shop had two squier strats at the same price - a chinese Affinity and this one - both were £70.00. It's stock currently but that may change!
