Time for an update. Everybody's getting along rather well! I officially love my new Strat. It's refreshing to play a new, very different electric. The rig should be stable for a while. I look forward to pushing it this weekend. I thank this forum for suggestions:

For the money, that Katana is a heck of an amplifier. That bookcase looks like it was made for the Boss.

    It happens.
i found one that i've wanted for a while now... but since i don't really need it,
i've been resisting temptation (so far)! i'm really trying to pare things down a bit.
Good luck with your new find!

Love. I'd love a nice old Gibby acoustic.

There have been a few times in my life when my music gear amounted to one acoustic guitar. At one point I had nothing but a soprano ukulele for the better part of a year.

I've also been on the other end of the spectrum, with enough instruments and equipment to open a music shop of my own.

Personally, I'm happier with less these days. But pain in my hands has brought me back to electric.

Just scored a (fake) Strat (avatar) and I'll be buying some kind of decent-sized practice/small gig amp, but I don't plan to buy any more guitars. Maybe a few pedals. If I was gigging regularly still, I'd want a backup Strat. As it is, it's really not necessary.

F3DFB200-1690-49C3-A052-BBC0396785A4.jpeg I’ve still got 5 amp heads, my stereo rack rig and two 4x12’s to sell. But this one sold today. And it really sucks, but I had to sell it.
