    Here's a shredder I've had since '87, a much-modded Charvel Model 2.

    Model2after.jpg

It's on its third Floyd (switched it from a Kahler the day after I bought it new), third neck, and I lost track of how many pickups. Current is a SD '59. Pretty happy with it now. Added a sticker of Rogue to give it a touch of class.:

The second neck from the above Model 2 went on a Warmoth body, as I've always want to combine it with a fixed bridge. I call it the CharSquire.

But my best shredder is this beast I picked up back in the late 90s. Thinnest neck I've ever played, among other wonderful attributes.

I've also got a pair of Vs, an old '67 re-ish, and this shredder, the Pro T.

I haven't had a chance to set it up yet. The way you see ot os the way I got it. It has a scalloped fretboard and there is a forearm relief modded into it so I will probably give it a different finish as part of the final setup. It does look to have a lot of potential though.

Timely — I’m building the one in my avatar right now (larger pic below). I voted Floyd, humbucker and locking nut in the poll but mine also has jumbo frets and a flat radius with a low action. I’m just not a stickler for those.

Details — MJT body, Allparts neck (being sent to MJT for finishing), original Floyd Rose, JB trembucker bridge, Classic Stack neck and middle. It’s wired with a superswitch to autosplit the stacks and a mini toggle to split the JB.

Here is mine. I tend to chugga chugga instead of shread on it though. Started on a BC Rich Platinum, then got an Ibanez Sabre which I had for a long time.

I am looking at a few now. Charvel ProMod DK24 HH 2pt and either a Jackson SLQ2 hard tail or a Schecter C-1 SLS Elite hard tail.

I am looking for instruments that have as many features and traits as possible that I don't already have on a guitar. Neck thru / SS frets / active electronics / unique switching / Ebony fingerboards / compensated nut, whatever it may be.
