Today I got nice original 1x12 extension cab for my old 2554 silver jubilee combo... the thing is that I am not sure how to connect it..
speaker in the 2554 is rated at 16ohm so as the one in the cab. 2554 has two speaker outputs and I don't know if I can connect the cab to the other output (the one with the lightning bolt sign on pic below) and leave the ohm switch at 16ohm?

    backside of 2554:

If you connect the extension cabinet the two 16 ohm speakers together will present an 8 ohm load to the amplifier, so set the switch to 8 ohms. I'm assuming that the internal speaker is not disconnected when you plug in the extension cabinet.
