Well this kinda stinks
The wheel rolls on.
Savor what you are doing now.
At 88 with Parkinson, that’s still a pretty good run though. He left some memorable roles!
Actually Ian Holm passed, Bilbo Baggins lives on forever as a character in films.
I've been a fan of his since I saw him in Henry V a long time ago. He had such a great voice.
Ash is a robot!
"I can't lie to you about your chances. You have my sympathy."
Many memorable performances, he was a joy to watch.
88 ain't bad...
Celebrate his life....
Many images to remember...
What does it have in it’s pocketses ?
RIP, Sir Ian.
I'd say he had a good long life!
Yeah , 88 is a damn good run !
And now, let us pause solemnly, and quietly contemplate the extraordinary life of Bilbo. Lights please. Roll film.
Somebody should find the quote he says before he uses the ring and disappears in front of the crowd, in the Shire. I'm sure it fits.
From the movie
“I have things to do. (Whispered)I’ve put this off for far too long. (Full Voice)I regret to announce this is the end. I’m going now. I bid you all a very fond fair well. (Whispered) Goodbye.”
I rather like the quote from earlier in the speech:
“I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve....”
Anyway, he owned that role.
Of which you speak....
I know not....
A long life but sad to lose such a great talent. LotR, Alien, and somebody mentioned Henry V - what a great film, and a super performance by Sir Ian.
The 5th element was a crazy movie .
