I'll be the only one man enough to say it. What a douche bag, pansy ass thread. Judging people like a pretentious fruit cup... get some balls

I sometimes get a little upset with gramma but she has been better since we changed her meds. As for writing I always tried to empress upon my children to treat Email, Text and posting as you would a letter, spend a minute proffing your spelling and grammer. When all else fails install a small program like LT to check your work for the major mistakes for free. If allowed you can find it at
LanguageTool.org. I use it everywhere. Right now it is showing me 8 misteaks but you wont see them if I let it correct. So this post is not corrected

That sounds easier than being half-German and half-Irish. "Ve will be utterly efficient and ruthless in ziss task, but first - ve vill go and have load of pints and sing ze rebel songs - Ja?"

I know you have trouble with reading comprehension, but this is the backstage where we post things not about guitars.

There's a show on YouTube called Your Grammar Sucks. I find it absolutely hilarious.
Don't watch if you're afraid of "Choopah Cobbler" and "Hello darkness smiled friend"

I do agree that to an extent clear expression of thoughts reflects clarity of thinking and vice-versa. To paraphrase the meme, I often read someone's comment and wonder, "what is going on inside their head?"

This may sound a little radical, but I firmly believe language is primarily used as a communication tool, not oppression. ;) And language learning has never been more accessible. The main reason why one may fail at getting reasonably good at using said communication tool is not seeing the value in it. And that is usually the product of upbringing.

I have the same pet prejudice, but I have learned not to mention it... there a millions of people who don't spell or construct sentences very well, and they range from oblivious to to downright proud. I have been verbally abused enough for pointing out some grammar mistakes, so now I don't bother. After reading many on this forum, I often wonder if they are as proud of their musical mistakes... but it's not worth the time to worry about it. It's a different world than I grew up in. (I know that I ended that sentence with a preposition- and I don't care!) But at my age (and I suspect- yours as well), I consider those who can't spell- "a bunch of looseres!"

When we no longer can speak or write properly we can always resort to emoticons.

For all intensive purposes, this is a loose/loose conversation we're having here.

so, for the so called perfect grammar users here.....better double and triple check everything you post from here on out, because the second you make a mistake, and you will, someone is going to be there to send you to the very gates of hades.

That was kind of my point. Hence the quotation marks.

The quotation marks don't invert the statement, it's still a positive.
