    If you can take an old pallet and make an acoustic out of it your a luthier. To become one I imagine takes an apprenticeship under another luthiers wings.

    I think you’re talking about me , high level of quality and precision. My work must of been so good and long lasting, because no one ever called me back.

    i resent this entire thread!
    one time i stayed at a holiday inn express. i had my guitar with me and got some sweat on it, so i took a napkin and wiped it off. plus i tuned the g string.
    this makes me a luthier and if you disagree then you are a racist.

    To be fair, those guys have access to the old pin routers and stuff. Not everything is necessarily CNC.

    Any garage that doesn't have any of these patches around is risky unless you happen to know them personally & even then thing's can still go south.
