Which do you like best?
I think the Daphne blue looks better with the maple neck
I couldn't choose between them. I have a Daphne Strat however, but Sonic would have been fine, but they didn't make the HW1 in Sonic.
Yeah same. Sonic blue is nice, but daphne has more depth and tone to it... not as dull. And BRoss I see you're from Arlington Heights! Northbrook here.
I may be biased, but I say Daphne. But I would like a Sonic.
Sonic blue for me.
They both make me wanna quit my job, lie on my back out in the field, and watch the clouds make funny shapes.
Sonic Blue for me too! Squier Vintage Modified Surf Stratocaster - changed the knobs and switch tip to chrome. Plays like butter, action is 3/64" at 12th fret on all strings and has no fret buzz anywhere. She takes a light touch but that's my style when I play this one...
I've got the sonic blue Squier VM Mustang with the tortie pickguard and I LOVE her:
BUT I also love Daphne blue and the sea foam greenies.
Sonic blue, simply because I have one hahaha
sonic blue , I remember a Corvette that color that I always wanted .
(Nitro) sonic blue, as it will turn into surf green one day
"Sonic Daphne" really needs to be the name of someone's band now.
Sonic Daphne & the Surf Green Tortoise
Here's my Sonic. Would have been happy with Daphne though.
Daphne for me....and I will own one some day
Love them both, but love Daphne a little more. Was researching paint for a project and on the Re-Ranch guitar refinishing site, he indicates Daphne was a former DuPont color used (only) on '58 Cadillacs. He indicates that Sonic Blue is especially relevant to the Fender Mustang.
