This video makes the claim that SRV had an undiscovered mod in his guitar that no other strat could replicate. and they will sell one to you for only $130, but wont tell you what was so "Special" about it.
Man, this burning snake oil makes me wheeze.

I'm guessing a cap handmade by a groupie filled with not ceramic, not wax not oil but hold on hold on......

The blood of the groupie that made the cap in the first place.

I'm sure that many people have a farm close enough to where they live so that they could get a whole load of bull*** delivered for a lot less than $130.
How you install it on a Strat, however, is up to you.

I have a great, classically-voiced Strat in my Gilmour build, and a Simble OD.
I do just fine without the snake oil.

    Was that the Stig playing?

Where does one get ones hands on this 'snake oil' stuff? eBay?

Where does it make that claim? I skipped around and it was just a guy playing intros to SRV songs for 10 minutes.

The only mod that'd help would be having his hands, what a crock. Chasing a particular sound is a fool's errand. Sure, take some influences but just find what you like and go with that.

I'm going to have to agree with Mr.Schicklgruber on this one.

It's either that, or admit I've wasted a lot of money on pedals....:D

Except that that the guy in the video had a Stevie tone and doesn't have Stevie's hands. I wonder if the amp and the 3 single could had anything to do with it?

Hey, mine is an honest offer, not sure about the other guy. I can genuinely tell you what isn't in there. Here's a freebie - it isn't one of Captain Haddock's old sea socks ... :p
