STD-62 bought in 1995. Mid to late 80's Fujigen? What do you think?

I bought this from a friend in 1995. In this condition. It had an Ibanez neck on it at the time. It was already in this exact condition in 1995 so it has to be 1980's in origin. Any ideas what model it is before someone stole the neck from it? I have been looking on Fuzzfaced but I am not seeing it right off.

Saw this one and it matches pretty well. https://www.mmguitarbar.com/listing...62-candy-apple-red-japan-mij-fujigen/30192963

Anyone own one with similar markings for reference to help me identify. Pretty sure this is all original hardware and electronics.

It could be any date between the mid 80s and the mid 90s.

Very similar to mine a 1989 St 62 ... does it have a diecast or steel bridge block?

If I bought it in 1995 and it was already neck swapped and worn I doubt "mid nineties" is an option.

Wonder what the difference is between ST-62, STC-62 & STD-62. I have seen all 3 in the neck pockets.

Mine says STC 62 in the neck socket and ST 62 on neck. I think the C is an internal code for compatibility

    I have a mid 80's STD-62 that I belive has a zinc block. It didn't attract a magnet, anyway?

Aside from the zinc block and flat pole alnico pickups, it's similar to an early 60's Strat.

it seems the same as mine but my body is marked STC 62. my serial number starting with I makes it a 1989 and the previous owner bought it in Japan back then ...... it has the same PUs and YM 30 switch... i have the brochure for 1989 and there were 3 models varying in quality St-62 115 (Y115,000) ST-62 70 which mine is and possibly yours and ST-62 55 .... the 115 has a steel block and US PUs and electrics... the 70 has US PUs diecast block and Japanese electrics (yours and mine) and the 55 has Japanese PUs, electrics and diecast block, not sure how to post the PDF of the brochure but here is a link http://brochures.yokochou.com/guitar-and-amp/fenderjapan/1989/en_index.html
