At the End of the video he also talks about how certain pickup wire tape adhesive will eat away at the pickup insulation causing the pickup wire to short out and damage the pickup. What pickup tape would do this? because he uses 3M pickup tape
You misunderstood. Seymour didn't use a non-metal telecaster bridge plate. What did Seymour Duncan use for that customer, what kind of telecaster bridge plate did he use? I want to buy it and put it on my classic vibe telecaster to see if it give me Roy Buchanan tones
Are you sure? Can you provide a link to Dr Phil? Or are you saying Dr. Phil uses false logic? Can you provide a link for that? I have yet to see your source for this comment. Oh, now it is the base plate? 90 some posts in to make that clear? Can you provide references? If so, why ask here? Which metal/non-metal are we discussing? Is there pure steel? What is pure steel? Is 1020 pure stele, or do I need 4140? I haven’t got an answer to any question posed to you. Is non-steel non-metal? What is steel, anyway? Did he or did he not? What did they say over on his forum? I haven’t seen your link to your question over there....is there one?
Post a pic of your classic vibe telecaster, focused on the bridge. There's a pretty good chance you already have a steel bridge plate, but I need a picture to be sure.
Busted. From Stew Mac: "0.040 copper-plated steel, just like the originals." Steel is an iron alloy. High carbon steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel, maraging steel, Remington Steele...get it?
What have you used? Did you notice a difference between non-metal non steel and non steel metal and steel metal plates? What were those differences, in your experience? Did you get the Roy Buchanan tone, or not? Did you take notes on your experiments? Where are those notes, and why don’t you share them? What are you hiding???
You have to soak it in a special solution called a toner to remove the metal and replace it with pure tone.
Seymour Duncan only uses 3M pickup tape because other Pickup tape will eat away the pickup wire insulation which will short out the pickup wire Why would they make pickup tape that would destroy and damage the pickup insulation over time by the adhesive used?
You say you can spell it out, but indeed you did just above. But the really question is where is “it out” documented? Did you provide a link? We need the link? Aren’t all of the coatings some sort of polymer? Which polymer is which? Can you provide a link?
No he calls the coating some name in the 50's they used the coating has a name to it that used LEAD in it. what is the name of this coating?
But that chart doesn't tell me what Seymour Duncan used for that customer, he used a non metal non steel bridge
Here's a thought, you could just email Seymour with your inquiries and find out directly from the man himself.
it seems like I have to email Seymour Duncan directly since all you guys don't have any links so I can buy the bridge he installed in the video I want to install that bridge in my classic vibe telecaster
