Did you contact your guitar center and see if they can do something for you? Sometimes they are very flexible .

True story according to Ray Henning the man that sold Stevie the Number One, it was a dog of a guitar, but Stevie liked the way it felt(see 1:45min). My advice is if it doesn’t move you to play it, get rid of it or change it. I’m putting a Warmoth maple boatneck on my 2012 AV59 because I like the shape better than the D shape and I like the look of black with maple.

I agree with Screaming Strat. These Cherry Burst and Sienna Burst are not my favourite hues for a Strat. I too, hated the colour of my Sienna Burst USA Deluxe Ash Stratocaster. I posted it as a trade on the local used market and was happy to be offered a 2011 Tobacco Burst USA Deluxe Ash as a trade-for-trade. The Tobacco Burst finish is more likened to what an old hippy like me wants to be seen playing. Here are pics of the Sienna and then the Tobacco. P1200799.JPG image2.jpeg

My first real guitar was a 70’s cherry burst strat so I’m partial to them.

I think the reason Fender’s less expensive lines have cooler colors is because they are manufactured in countries that don’t have the environmental restrictions on paint that we do in the USA.

My bud has a gorgeous large-headstock gold Squire Strat... far nicer finish than any U.S.A. gold Strat.

You have to watch Fender for when they do “special runs” and when they bring back “old” colors for a while. My son and i both have Orange Flake Strats that we love. I also have a wonderful Candy Tangerine Strat, and I’m partial to Shell Pink (it takes a Real Manntomplay a Pink Guitar).

So be picky, be patient! OK I’ll stop now...

I think you might just really, really hate cherry burst, because that is a beautiful guitar and I really like the wood beneath it. Nothing is going to change your mind if you just do not fine any reason to keep it (other than maybe money). That guitar will find a home if you sell it. The $$ hit will be worth it if you land the guitar in your mind or of your dreams. Good luck!

Ace38. There is a serious problem with your four guitars illustrated in the picture. But don't panic because I believe I have the remedy to solve the problem. The technical term to describe the problem is an LFC bias. It can be fixed by supporting another football club.

Mine came with black PG and white plastics. I chose the tort guard when buying one loaded with fat 50s. Love it!

Why not just paint it a different color?I fail to see why color is an ever an issue on a guitar you otherwise like? I’ve seen every kind of cherry sunburst on a Gibson and some are gorgeous and some are horrible depending on who was spraying color that day or what era it was made. A cherry sunburst on a 1979 Les Paul is usually horrible while the sunburst on a 1958 is usually perfect. If I like the guitar I don’t see color.

I don't think I care what it looks like. How it plays is everything. Y'all would probably make fun of my strat. MIJ Contemporary in black on black. The others are LP's. I probably shouldn't even be on here...

Hey all, First post on these boards, I actually really love the Cherry burst, but it no longer seems possible here in the Netherlands or anywhere closeby in Europe to get a Cherry burst Ultra with a rosewood neck, there are the odd ones around with a maple neck still, but none with the rosewood neck. Have fender stopped producing them? They seem to be out of stock everywhere. Anyone know if they plan to use that finish again? I absolutely love it!
