The 80’s tele didn’t work out?
He seemed very excited about it and asked if we could meet up during the weekend. I was busy and suggested a day during the week instead. He was a bit disappointed but the week could work. I texted him yesterday that I could get away today but never got an answer so I assume he's no longer interested.
Eh, never know. I had two purchases/sales that took 2-4 weeks to work out timing the past couple of months.
I got my strat plus on CL for 850 and it was minty. They're really not selling for that much more although I see a lot listed for 1200+. If you switched out a pickup forget it, it won't sell for even 850.
Yeah, mine's all stockbexcept for new tuners. It's not mint though. Heck, there are lots of listings here for MIM strats that are priced the same or higher...
The fact that our biggest chain of music stores just went bankrupt may have something to do with it. The are having a blow out sale, 50% off everything tomorrow.
I used to think 2/3 of new retail street was a fair price for mint used guitars but I think it's actually closer to 50%. Everyone thinks their Sh.. is awesome but won't pay squat for someone else Sh..
Oh, I got sh.. and squat in the same sentence!
Yeah, I think 50%-60% should be about right. What was the price of a new Plus Deluxe in -89?
I would use ~55% of the last year (2016) price. What would that work out too?
I think the last year was 1999?
Reverb history says $770 to $1200 during the past year.
Telecaster guy flipped his tele and bought it. Shipping it tomorrow, all payed for already. I was just getting mentally ready to keep it.
This has been the toughest guitar sale I've ever done. Our largest music retailer chain going bankrupt and clearing out its entire stock in 18 stores at 50% off certainly didn't help.
Congratulations on the sale.
I think the used market is much lower than most of us would like to admit.
Yeah and it happened during the past year.
The guy who bought it just put it up for sale again an added $200 to the price. Curious to see if he gets it.
Just takes the right person. And you can always go lower, can’t go higher
Look on Ebay and Reverb. that's what guitars are worth.
