There's afew very influential rhythm strat players.
One was somebody ppl never mention CURTIS MAYFIELD. Huge influence on Jimi hendrix and pretty much every reggae artist. What i love about curtis was he wasn't at all flashy. He did he his lil hammer ons played within the pocket.
The most influential reggae guitar player n singer.... BOB MARLEY the originator of the *chick chick* rhythm you hear so much in reggae especially in songs like *stir it up* before he was using that les Paul special. In the early 70s when Peter tosh was still in the wailers Bob used a big head stock fender strat.
With the possible exception of bb king, every guitarist is a rhythm guitarist.
