I'm just finishing this build at the moment - think I might bring it along to Paris for a change.

Old cheapo semi body, Ebony neck from a long time ago, some used Fender noiseless pickups, and a used Babicz Full Contact bridge. It's been a long time sitting in pieces so I thought I'd try and sort it out.

Needs the nut re-slotting and a few scratches filled/polished out, but I fixed the electrical buzzing issue (remove the sticky foil in the cavities would you believe).

Of course it might feed back like hell, so I'll have to test that out.

Grr.... It's all sorted now, playing great, sounding really good (I love getting rid of the noise gate and compression from my effects) BUT - it's really neck heavy, with that big chunk of ebony and the Fender tuners overpowering the lightweight hollow body and aluminium bridge. So I've either got to put some grippy stuff on my strap (I hate grippy straps), fill the body with fishing weights, or transplant the neck/pickups/bridge onto this (the zebra wood neck looks great but doesn't feel as good as the old ebony one).

    What do you lot think?

For me, neck feel would be decisive.

So far Joyce, Joost and other Maurice can’t make it. I need to check with Paul and Heidi.

Damn... not such a strong Dutch contingent. Hopefully full attendance in Antwerp!

Update; new place did not go through, have to start searching again.
That does not mean I won't be able to make it to Paris, but it will be tight!

No worries, I could have had (still do) the place but it has some 'cons'.

The idea was to have some sort of cohousing concept with an old time friend (ex wife actually o_O;), I must add we broke up in mutual understanding at the time, and get along quite well afterwards. She and Nanda are also friends.:thumb:).

It's a very nice chalet surrounded by meadows and the backyard lies on the edge of a forest, rental price is dirt cheap too! It's 'as green' as you can get in Antwerp.

The thing is, we already had some 'differences' about how we were going to fill in things!
To me it felt somewhat like when we were married, again!

I did not like it at all, so I thought I'd better be honest about it as quickly as possible.
We talked it out, she understands, agrees and for her part I'm still always welcome.

But I do not think this was going to be an healthy situation long-term, so back into looking for a new place!

Edit; → welcome, not → wecome.

OK - I might need to practise those. Haven't heard much GVF...

Is the attendee list up to date? Looks like a select group! I'll try and learn some of the bass lines so I can do either guitar or bass as required.

There are still some question marks.
