Just curious for opinions... What do you prefer?

MIA Strat vs Gibson Les Paul?
MIM Strat vs Epiphone Les Paul?

I play both Strats and Les Pauls.I also play Telecasters and SGs too but Strats would be my desert island guitar for sure if I can only have one since I own more of those than any and play them the most. But to me it all about which tool gets the job done the best...which guitar serves the song the best.

Something tells me these results will be a bit lopsided.

You ask this on this forum? :)

Anyway: I prefer strats in every respect. For my tastes, strats have a tougher match against teles and 335s.

I wonder what the results would be on the LP forum?

    So, NO VOTE from me.

The Strats are lighter, and generally brighter, & sweeter sounding...

The LP is a little heavier, and raunchier with a DiMarzio Super Distortion HB ( bridge ) and a DiMarzio Dual Sound ( split coil ) S.D. HB rhythm.

LP. Granted I'm new to Strats, but I prefer my PRS (LP style, but much lighter) to the Strats. I also started on an LP back in the day. I just can't get the tone on the Strat in the sweet spot like I can the PRS.
That being said, I actually prefer my G&L Legacy Tribute over the Strat as well and just behind the PRS. I really like the PTB system in the G&L. Adding the treble bleed to the Strat and making the bridge tone controllable, have made them all fairly close.

    Phillips for me!
Just has that overall turnability thing going on. Plus, I don't consistently stab myself in the hand like I do flatheads.

Two different guitars for two different tones. I likes lots of different beers for the same reasons. Certain songs call for specific tones and a different feel you can't get a strat tone from a les paul and vice versa.
