    Welcome @unam45 ! By virtue of the difference....I agree the tonal range on a Strat should be greater. But for me, a Strat always sounds like a Strat, and I love that. Whereas a Tele can sound like anything.

    Haha I still remember the big old one my parents had, I had to help them get rid of it to buy a flat screen. It weighed as much as a baby elephant.

    i'll ante up -

    if you add a forearm relief and a rib saver/belly cut to a tele and get a whammy pedal you would not even need a strat.

    i also get more twang from my prs with humbuckers than my classic series 60's tele.
