If there are D'Addarios(9s or 10s) in the store i get those....if not anything else ll do.
That was not the question Johnny
Nobody asked about your sex life
I use DR tight fit 10s
D'Addario 9-42 half-rounds, because they sound like round wounds but feel like flat wounds and don't squeak.
This for me as well, Fender 3150R Pure Nickel 10-46
Enough about your underwear
I use D'Addario EXL-110 (10-46).
Because they are reasonably priced, sound good, last a decent amount of time, and are very consistent in intonation, and quality from set to set. I've been using them for over 30 years, and don't remember ever getting a bad set.
I tried a set of NYXL's once (3x the price) because they were supposed to be the latest/greatest, and could not tell any difference.
EB Super Slinky 9-42
I use them on all of my guitars
D'Addario 10s or 11s. I tried a few others but I always go back.
Switched to Voodoo child custom 38-10’s years ago
Best set i found for me in 32yrs
Tried many strings and prefer Fender pure nickel 150's.
Great tone and easy to bend.
I just went from 9's to 10's. HUGE improvement in tone.
Used to run 9s on Fenders and 10s on Gibson.
Ended up settling on DR Pure Blues 9-46 for everything and love them.
Ernie Ball slinky , good enough for Clapton, good enough for a scrub like me.
Mostly 9-46 but i do experiment with it. Becaus i think the bass strings feels to flimsy when tuned down to eb.
Ernie Ball 10-52
slinky for solos beef for drop
D and extra punch
