Gold has never tarnished on my Yamaha.. but gold on epiphones were terrible..
Same here. The gold on my les Paul custom is practically gone . But it still plays well. And it's Korean!
For me I am not classy enough for gold hardware!

My tele is a little over the top in Gold but a great player
It is an SRV signature model, I changed out the pickguard when the original started warping a few years back. It us tucked away safe.
Same here with my Fender CS (zero tarnish ), but my Gretsch FSR.....not good!

A lot of people think it looks extra cool when the plating wears off.

That's the one I bought a few weeks back! Only thing I've changed iis the pickguard, covers and knobs.

same guitar. I just switched it to HSS
