    Don't know about their shipping to Canada but when in the US I bought many things from them and every purchase "experience" was excellent.

    I'm in France now so I usually buy things from Thomann in Germany. Similar company ethic, prices, shipping and return standards, etc.

    If I was still in the USA I'd be buying from Sweetwater.

    I disagree. Sweetwater has, IME, always been competitive with Musicians Friend.

    Any difference (on new gear) has always been a matter of a few dollars.

    Service matters.

    Sweetwater is great when the deal is great... I would rather save money than get a bag of candies and a phone call afterwards to check on my purchase...don't take me wrong, that is nice...but most of the times they can't beat other prices and my loyalty is to my wallet.

    Maybe it's a hit or miss thing. Some guys do well enough to not have to follow up while some guys need some extra sales to hit their number. I'm not foolish enough to think that follow-up calls are just for our benefit. Yes, they convey a feeling of care TO the customer, but they are more intended to confirm to the sales engineer that the customer is indeed satisfied and will likely provide some return business due to a lot of factors including the professional guidance and advice of the sales engineer. And of course, maybe the customer forgot to order some necessary accessory that can be deftly pointed out. The term sales engineer is very appropriate because they do engineer a sale by providing the best choice for the customer at a great price. There is a benefit to both sides. So I'm not sure why my guy did not make follow up calls, but after several orders, I think he knows that I don't need to be on his follow up list. I'll email him if things are not 100% to my liking, otherwise he knows I'm happy and will be back again.

    I've spent a ton of $$ there. I can't add anything good, that hasn't already been said. My shipping has always been free too. I think they are a class act and could recommend them to anyone without reservation.

    As others have said, their customer service is outstanding. I had a slight problem after a purchase. Not only did they take care of the issue beyond my satisfaction, they sent a high end escort to my place to give me a full release massage. Great company to do business with.
