First of all, the difference in materials apply to the wound strings only.
All else being equal, a string with a pure nickel winding will not be as bright as one made with a nickel plated steel winding.
Fender 150s are mellower and have more tension than 250s. They are also rolled which makes them a bit smoother to the touch.

Fender 150s are the strings I use (9-40) I consider them to be the original Strat strings.
    Try them !

In a blind test, i don't think I could tell much difference between pure nickel and nickel plated (when the strings are new).
Of course, I don't have golden ears.

To me, the nickel plated steel strings have a tighter low end sound. The pure nickel wrapped strings are a little bit mellower. One thing that I did notice, using the pure nickel strings, is that they get divots in the back side of the strings where they contact the frets. They also don’t last as long for me. I get 2 or three weeks out of pure nickel playing an hour or two a day, but I get about twice that amount of time from the nickel plated steel.

I prefer pure nickel SIT and Dadario. More mellow sound and easier to bend as they are less stiff.

Definitely prefer pure nickel wounds. More mellow and easy bends

    I like DR Pure Blues

I prefer pure nickel strings. They tend to age better and get real thuddy.
This all started when I read about Steve Cropper putting chapstick on his strings to age them.
I got to researching that most old strings were nickle either flat or roundwound.

I take my pure nickel obsession one step further and go for a round core. Which is what most vintage strings had. You can buy hex core pure nickel (Ernie ball, Fender, D'addario) or round core pure nickel (DR Blues or Pyramid).

I have no experience with these but probably not since 150s are rolled, meaning their top surface is flatter than a regular roundwound.

What does softer mean? Pure nickel is less hard than nickel plated which is less hard than stainless.
    Maybe you mean more flexible?

When you slide your finger on the string it will feel smoother because there is less friction. When you fret or bend the string it might feel harder to do so.

Except the original Strat strings would have been more like 12-52 w/ a wound third ;);):)

Also I have heard that they dont live long like NPS , so often changes are needed. They are less damage reaistant. Is It True?
