Technique question... Ring and pinky

    It is in no way my goal to play like someone else. It's important to me I take what I need from what I hear, but I have no intention to reach a certain level of playing in comparison.

    I actually still do this when I’m rusty after not playing a bunch and after running through it frontwards and backwards a few times my playing gets almost instantly cleaner.

    Exactly. People probably don't think about it, but playing is a perishable skill. So you gotta exercise to keep it as long as you can. :D
