Truly Vintage pedal I picked up. I learned that the light sensors are housed in a little lean to and the curtain lets the on light shine in and modifies the amount of light which then give you the wah effect in and out. I fixed he curtain which you can see in the photos was loose and not tucked under and taped as it should be. No pics of the repair. That made the wah work correctly. but the fuzz is not working still. I found a wild tutorial of a repair a guy did here.

Also a schematic here but I am not a master pedal builder/repairer just a dude that wants to make this killer relic work again.

Anything else you guys can suggest? If I was to chase diodes how do I go about that exactly. I also found and bought hundreds of brand new diodes from the same place so I most likely have what I need.

Suggestions? TIA

Most likely culprit with those is the fuzz volume ldr. I can't see it in your photo. Find it and shine a light on it. After that, start taking voltage measurements around the trannies and see if any seem off.

The ldr is under that lean to looking tape box. I actually did that last night with a flashlight. It had a faint angry bee buzz but no big FUZZ. Could you point me to the trannies? Uh... that was not something I normally will be heard saying.

I should of took more pics but I was engrossed in fixing that curtain back to where it was supposed to be.

The repair guy just put a diode across the resistor and he liked that.
The resistor is at the left side lower corner of your red frame left to the grey capacitor.
Diode black ring marking at the bottom side of the diode.
Maybe both diodes(according to schematics) are soldered on the backside of the board and went bad.

It would be a pretty fast fix.

Take care,
Robin

I saw that. I will explore solutions this weekend and see if I can figure it out. I was reaching out for suggestions thanks for looking.

Well I would probably start by cleaning the pots and switches, just as a matter of course. Then I would check the power supply voltages. Do the LED indicators work? Look for the voltages on the collectors of Q1, Q3, and Q4.

Cleaned all pots.
Light bulb does work that is only light involved and controls the LDR's
The unit powers on perfectly and the Wah works perfectly. Have not checked the PSU voltages
No LED
I will look at Q1,Q2,Q3
Thanks

It is possible that your curtain needs a bit of adjusting. It needs to completely block the LDRs in the heel down position and put the LDRs in full light at toe down. If you're sure that part is working then look deeper into the circuit. Don't forget to clean the switches, dribble a little DeOxit around the actuator until it runs inside.
Apparently Morley didn't bother with the indicator LEDs they show on the shematic.

I have adjusted the curtain and it runs the wah fine, a light source like a flash light activates both light cells fine but the fuzz is thin and faint like angry bees not like a brute fuzz. I have to dedicate some time, time spared from spending time with wife, on it.
