Well it was/is a business! I heard that Mr Green sold it for a lot of money. Sounds like a business to me.

Well you're a braver man than I am! :D Besides, I don't know how many of the current mods are friends of PG or fans of his.

You might remember a guy from Glasgow called quiggy who was a member here for a short while a few years back. He upset PG who sent him exactly the sort of e.mail to which you refer. The sort of thing you wouldn't dream of saying to a big Glaswegian bloke if he was within 100 miles of you...

quiggy & I got on very well & he sent me the e.mails & I could tell he was incandescent with rage. I could see why. There are ways of asserting your authority without being demeaning & treating a big man like a small child.

Yeah, but you can have a business and not be a jerk about it. I mean, people talk trash about TGP but I've interacted with the brass over there and they're alright guys.

I liked that fellow. I think Mrs. Quiggy was here too. :D

I'm half Scot and half Norwegian. In other words...a handful. LOL

I believe that quiggy was told that either he or his wife could stay as members but not both of them. So he was expected to choose between Paul Green & his wife...

    Well that's BS.

Over at TDPRI, Brent Mason's wife Julie was a member...and Brent would post under her handle...until 0le Fuzzy ran them off.

If you look at the timeline, Brad Paisley's song Online correlates to the time he spent on TDPRI before getting driven off.

If MLP is the Wild West... Woooooo... There's a gaming forum I used to be a moderator for and the owner of the site against my (at first) advice (and later strong objection) created an "unmoderated" section. Let's just say, I'm not G-rated and not shy about it, but the stuff posted in there was atrocious. It made "two girls, one cup" and "lemon party" seem like stuff you'd watch on Disney Jr.

I never heard that song so I just checked it out. Good song & pretty cutting stuff. So he was kicked off TDPRI by Paul Green? :D

Been a member on the TDPRI for 18 years. I have about 700 posts. For the most part I just go on the Main Telecaster forum. Never had a problem in that sub-forum. Found out the hard way where not to go. So I don't. One person who I got into it with years ago made a comment about my Mother. Mods said they would not ban him because of my part in the whole mess. I just disagreed with the guy and proved him wrong.

I actually think he reported me

I have been on TGP almost as long. The TDPRI is like a walk in the park compared to TGP. Just don't talk about or to TGP darlings in a way they don't like. Do that and you will get in trouble. :rolleyes:The mods have favorites.

I seem to get along with Big Mike in the Amps subforum at TGP and I am super non-corksniffery. Hell, my main amps have been Bugera and Jet City and I only recently got a Fender Deluxe Reverb because the guy I bought it from gave me a STUPID price. So, I don't think I qualify for what most people would think of as a normal TGP favorite. LOL

I've had some techy comments back and forth with some of the admins (I'm an IT systems administrator by day and I've also had admin experience with some forums) and they seem alright. However, nobody has rubbed me the wrong way like Paul Green has, and I've been "traveling through cyberspace" since 1989.
