I'm wahless at present, but tried a bunch in the past and the RMC was my favourite. Think mine was a Wizard.

EDIT: daaaaamn, they have become incredibly expensive... I paid about £100 for mine back in the day, just looked and the first that came up new was 300 reduced from 500!! Wish I'd kept it now...

There's a difference between the US made V847's and the V847A. The V847's are no longer made it seems, but can be found used. Same circuit, but the V-847 has no DC jack and seems to be a better made pedal imo. Just look at the guts for both pedals and google search the differences, if you don't know what you're looking at. Inductors, true-bypass and resistor changes can make a run of the mill 847 (either model) into a custom tailored wah. Many companies sell replacement PCB's that add even more tweak-a-bility. The V847 below is the earlier non "A" version, well at least it used to be, hence the missing DC jack.

There’s no better Wah at that price point IMO.
I have the current reissue but I’ve had the v2, and the Wilson Version as well. I love all versions but the current v3 is great.

I like switchless Wah's have Dunlop GCB95 but stick with my Morley Bad Horsie 2 mainly. I recently picked up an Ibanez Weeping Demon to try as it was going cheap on ebay for $50 & have to say I don't mind it either for a different flavour.

Well all i can say there is no right or wrong, best or worse, like any other effect they are tools, and you choose the right tool for what you want to accomplish
Hence why i'm a strong advocate for modeling, it's a huge tool box to craft whatever tone your after
    My 2 cents

That wah has had some mods and a paint job?
I have an old USA 847 and it doesn't have that knob on the side.
What is it for? Q adjustment?
    Cool paint work too!

It's a 2k pot for the midrange, but also effects the Q. I say midrange, but it's hard to explain what happens when it's adjusted the transition from heel to toe changes in a subtle manner. More info below.

I'd take a Crybaby Classic over those two Vox. No mods needed for that one and its affordable and it sounds really good.
Fulltone Clyde wah is great but a lot more money. I've never played a Teese but hear nothing but good things
