I got out of bed, scratched my head
    And hopped into my pickup

I drove to the fridge and grabbed a cold one
Took a gulp and with a hiccup

I headed on down to meet the rail
The train's in soon so I rest my tail

Cause this is the day my mama
Finally gets out of that jail

Combine the basic elements...pickup trucks, beer, trains, jail and mama. You have a country song just shuffle the blocks around like with any other genre:sneaky:

And I assume the fridge is a euphemism for the creek down in the holler.

For those unfamiliar the perfect country and western song starts at the 3:30 mark. It pretty much sums up C&W.

David Allan Coe is an amazing songwriter musician.

    Ok, I'll play:

I wish I had done like my mama told me
And steered clear of boys with pickup trucks.

But he flashed those black eyes, and I let him hold me,
Drink my beer and borrow 50 bucks.

Then he drove away in a cloud of red dust
And headed across the railroad tracks.

I watched him leave me, full of longing and lust,
So afraid he would never come back.

He told me he'd call me and he did the next day
From a cell in Dubuque county jail

I thought he loved me but it pains me to say
Turns out all that he wanted was bail.

    In answer to @Mansonienne writings

I missed him so I had to try
Everything I did only made my heart cry

I mailed myself to him in an old mail sack
The mean old warden just sent me back...postage due

I plead, I bargained, did everything I could
Never once stopping to think if I really should

All I am left with his his old dog and a painful memory
Now the the future is clear at least the hound loves me.

    Next........
