Own a Gibson ? Post 'em here !

My entry is a Melody Maker I picked up a couple of weeks ago. This one is known as the 2007 model and is currently in production with one single coil pup in the bridge spot. The dual pup version was discontinued in 2008 and iirc, was a special run for Musicians Friend.

Henry said this Les Paul Melody Maker model could "almost be considered a reissue of a 1959 Gibson Melody Maker."

Nice beefy 50's neck profile, vintage frets, thin nitro finish, mahogany neck and body, rosewood board (in before the raid)

The photo of the back of the headstock shows just how thin the nitro finish is on these.

After all these years I am down to one Gibson - a Firebird re-issue.
I do love it, its just like playing a coffee table, although it sounds a lot better!

So is the other picture. Look at the open grain in it. Maple doesn't have that open grain or streaking like that.

First acoustic I ever really played extensive extensively and wrote songs on was a '65 B25 in cherry burst. Tiny little Les Paul neck....
