In theaters today and I believe it's streaming as well. Anyone gonna check it out? Pretty pumped that it's available to stream.

I am psyched. Gonna stream it on HBO Max. Probably save it for tomorrow night since Friday night’s I fall asleep on the couch And drooling. Homer Simpson style.

On the docket for this weekend. Trying to temper expectations, so I'm not disappointed. If it's decent and colors in some of the backstory, I'll consider it a W.

Do you think one needs to have seen the series to appreciate it ?

I've never seen a single episode of the Soprano !

I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Is it some sort of Pine Barrens flick?

It's a swamp with many plants which grow only there, plants sometimes fertilized with the remains of errant Italian-Americans, Irishmen, and leather-clad Russians.

You should watch the Sopranos. It was outstanding.

    I'm on the fence.

The Sopranos set such a high bar I'm not sure this prequel will be satisfying.

I'm scarred and need a hug.

Agree. Even though Tony was the focal point every character was excellent in their own unique way.

It was. Although the last couple of seasons started to lose me. I think I ended up liking The Wire more, far as dramas go.

That sets the bar pretty high... I was always a fan of mafia stories after watching The Godfather, however after such a brilliant trilogy, I failed to find as good as that... That may be why I was never pulled towards the Sopranos, I may have internally thought it would not meet my expectations...

I binged the Wire then watched it again. Ranks right up there with Sopranos.

In the last season I felt they spent too much time on Vito.
