If I had that suit I'd seriously wear that too. If nothing else, to stand out. Of course I'd look like 1975 fat Elvis in it :p

Ya, I agree, you guys need to make a visual statement. Maybe not with leather but i can see a bunch of Elvis's (Elvi??) or something at least sticking in the judges heads. "Sure they played Mustang Sally, but they were all in Togas and wore hockey masks, so that's a 10 in my book"

Maybe kind of a biker leather / Cyndie Lauper mashup? Would probably come out something like...

Sorry for the flood of tunes from me this week. 2 weeks off seems to have energized me and I was able to scratch off a few songs that have been on my list for a while.

I need to play more stuff from these guys as they've got some killer tunes.

Little Sister - Queens of the Stone Age

Nice job on Little Sister Mouse. Your timing seemed perfect on the chord progression. Their licks are deceiving when you listen to them, until you try to play them and realize the little nuisances in their playing style.

I like another song on that album...Burn The Witch, with Billy Gibbons.

There is just something about that band. Something almost mystic in a way. They always employ somewhat of a barrage of musicians and never seem to lose or get away from their unique sound. Sure, they always have that core group, whatever it is at the time, but when the guests play with them, the sound and feeling and flow always seems unaltered. They're fun to watch and listen to.

With that being said, you'd fit right in with them and wouldn't miss a beat. Another job well done.

You’ve been on a roll lately! Sounding great :thumb:
Little Sister kinda reminded me of a rock version of Berlin’s Metro when I first heard it..similar melodies maybe.

    Thanks guys.

@chrimturn you're right. I only have played a few of their tunes but they sometimes have these odd or tricky bits. No One Knows is very much like that. That was tough to get the timing right. I used to play that with an old band...I need to re-learn that one.

Thanks Matt. The floodgates did open up a bit as it felt really good to play again this week. I actually have one more I did yesterday that I'll post later.

This is the last one from my week of manic guitar playing/recording.

The mix isn't great here. The backing track wasn't great and had low vocals and guitars that occasionally bleed through the mix.

Didn't know this one before (like the one before it as well) but I definitely like the pearl jam song. Good job!

Also good to see you JMJ :)

Stratocarlster is doing a walkabout in OZ I think, haven't seen him in ages. @sam_in_cali , well Sam last I heard had given up guitar after discovering a deep seated passion for Polka music and accordion. Here's a picture of him smuggled (at great risk I might add) out of a top secret Bavarian accordion compound hidden deep in the hills of southern California. :)

I think this is why I have no friends.. :D
