    It's 8 with Epiphone.
This one, and the 2019 "Norm Burst" and 2018 ES-355 were/are available with standard inlays, or the JB signature inlay, so really that's only 3 models.
2017 was the "Amos" Flying-V, and was the first one to come with a hardcase.
2016, there were two Firebirds available, 'burst or gold, both single pickup, and a hardcase as a separate item.
2015 was a green Standard with a Bigsby.
2014 was a Pelham Blue Standard.
    2010 was an Epiphone Goldtop

According to the press release from Guitarworld last year, "Normburst" was #7, which would make this one #8, not counting the three custom inlay versions.
    https://www.guitarworld.com/news/jo...e-model-the-1960-les-paul-standard-norm-burst

But he did Gibson Goldtop collab for 2009, and a 2012 Gibson 335, which would make a total of 10.

    This is interesting.... https://www.musicradar.com/news/the...assa-signature-model-based-on-his-51-nocaster
Will be curious to see if there is a 2021 Nocaster released by Fender.

    He pays himself.
He runs his own show... he is his own manager and has no agent to take a cut.
He flat out admits that he'll slap his name on anything to make a buck.
I like his pick tins because they are cool pick tins at the same price as most other pick tins, and they come with a dozen Jazz-III picks.
I've got a few of his t-shirts, because I like the designs.

The garden gnomes are cute... keep teasing my wife I'm going to her one for her.

I admire JB for being a business. Grateful Dead/Dead & Company are also run as a business. No disreputable manager or promoter to swindle them.

I had one of those Firebirds for a minute, it was.....fun, but ultimately not the Firebird I needed. For two reasons: It didnt have a case, and it had a flatter than “normal” radius. You couldn’t really just swap out wrap around tail pieces. I will say though, the build quality was good, and it had an honest to god “firebird” pickup, not an overwound mini-humbucker like Gibson insists on using for Firebirds.

No offense, but it's super cheesy. I find that headstock much uglier than the old one.

The thing with all this Bona-stuff is that the guitar is in essence the same guitar taken from the " avarage line", to which they add an ebony fretboard, some hipster tuners, some pointers in the knobs, a case, case candy (including a wonderful picture of bona-dude which is a must have), and bona-buttso's name on it.

My "avarage" 2010 Epi LP Custom to me looks much nicer. It doesn't have that yellow thing going. Looks more sober, and I bet it plays and sounds better.

Same old cheese with different flavoring.

Dude plays ok, nothing wrong to me. I just don't get why he needs to push himself so hard. Ok Joe, go ahead, it's your right! He would probably say I'm a " hater" or " jealous". No, man, just go ahead and conquer the whole world. You're the absolute bestest. I'm afraid someday I'll step outside and see Agent Smith in front of my house with a 20-piece band of the world's classiest musicians, playing that fusion noodle.

With respect, you're describing pretty much the route almost all artist signature models take, regardless of brand. They're all just variations on a theme, wouldn't you say? I get that it's not your cup of tea, it isn't mine either!

That said, it does feel like certain gear which Bonamassa has collaborated with various brands on, does have serious professional applications. I think the Epiphone Firebird model, and this triple-hum LP (goofy tuners aside), as well as the Way Huge Overrated Special / Doubleland Special and fuzz face, appear to be gig-worthy. I have no prior experience with the guitars, but the pedals yes. I'd encourage you to try them out and then maybe see if your opinion could change?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes: the guy does slap his name on a lot of stuff, but let's be objective here and sift through the good from the mediocre, and give the credit where it's due.

Sure, but like a conga line, some of the experience is lost the further one is from the source.

I ordered one these JB Epi Les Paul’s, after considering that I have numerous Gibson Les Paul’s, & a Gibson Frampton Les Paul. So really no reason to buy one. So I cancelled the order. I think it’s probly a great guitar in the price range of $799. With a hard case & an ebony fret board. Not sure of what country is building it, Korea or Indonesia or? To stay in this price range. I think Joe Bonamassa is a hard working guy, he keeps busy, & a great guitarist. & definitely has a fantastic guitar collection.

I just bought one. The best Les Paul guitars are made in China. This guitar is perfect right out of the case. I'm a verified buyer.

Your wisdom of your purchase depends on your guitar collection.
