Well, I got to thinking about all the guitars I've bought in the 12 months and 3 weeks I've been on this Forum. I've bought these guitars.

    I bought
    1979 Hard Tail Strat 3TSB
    Jimmy Vaughn Strat sunburst
American Professional Strat SSS antique olive
Squier VM 70's Strat SSS trans Blue ash
    Squier VM Telecaster Deluxe white
Fender Player HSH strat sage green
    Dean 79 V
Fender American Special SSS Surf Green
    Fender American Special Black SSS
Fender Vintera 70's Strat Sienna Sunburst
Epiphone Les Paul Paul Plus Pro

I have since sold five of the aforementioned guitars

I also gave the following guitars as gifts
    American Special HSS Strat
    Squier Mini Strat
    Vorson 1/2 size electric
    Music Man Sub

Anybody else join the one a month( or more ) club this year, and what did you get? Fortunately there are only two more guitars on my must have list. So if I can buy only two more next year, my wife and I should be able to take a nice little vacation his summer.

I dropped out of the club this year. I have only bought an Ibanez Talman and Squier P Bass. Last year...

    This happened....

    HERD 2018 sm.jpg

Minus the 12 string in the middle which I have had for 40 years. Damn... I forgot about the LP. I wonder where I put that?

    If I started a get-rid-of-one-a-month club...it'd take 2 1/2 years. Guess I better get started. :D

I'm probably pretty close to one a month over this past year, though admittedly, a few have been bass guitars.

    newfiverpair.jpg

Two of the new Rickenbacker 5 string basses.

    elites.jpg

    A couple of Elites.

    acoustics1.jpg

Three Ovation acoustics, a mid depth 6 string, a shallow depth 6 string, and a D scale 6 string which isn't in this picture.

    AcoustasonicTele01.jpg

Acoustasonic Telecaster (which has become my main player).

    shellwMoto.jpg

    A shell pink Modern player.

    new strat.jpg

One of these hand rubbed nitro models from a few years back, purchased used.

Hmm, ok, maybe it was only 10 new guitars this past year. But hey, it's only November...

I really like those Rickenbackers. That's right the year isn't over yet. But going by money spent, I think you are the winner:thumb:

I used to jave about thirty guitars all Fender, Gibson, Tom Anderson, Collings, and Suhr. I had to sell them one by one over the course of 3 years when my wife was out of work. I get to replace them, but am now going to mid priced and low priced guitars.

Yeah, I did spend some money on gear this past year. I really like the Rickenbacker too. I just sold a 4 string Ric, and will likely sell another. The two new 5 strings are about as close to perfection as Ric has come to the ultimate bass. All my other Rics have some serious mods. These really don't need any. I changed out the knobs for the vintage style, and added a thumb rest. Otherwise, all stock.

And of course, adding to the total, I bought few amps this year also. And looking real close at those Tone Master Twin Reverbs. Though I may trade in an amp if I buy one.

I've been thinking about one of those Tone Master Twins. I am just not sure if it will be worth it though. I'd sure like to know what the used price would be on it in 5 years.

I've spent about 3 grand this last year on 3 different amps. I got a Mesa Mark V 25 WITH 1x12 cab last November. I got a Marshall CODE 100 head with 4x12 cab, and an Orange Micro Terror with a 1x8 cab. The Code 100 head got sent back 3 times due to the same failure with changing patches via the foot switch, and I am currently looking for another head or combo after giving up on the Code

I do want to get another RIC 4003. That's my favorite bass.

I've been here going on ten years now, in that time I've bought one guitar and one amp. On average, over the last 40 years, I have bought one guitar every twelve years and one amp every eighteen.

I am completely immune to Strat-Talk GAS. :D

and i own an amp i never even heard of until you good people opened up my wallet and pointed me in that direction, thanks !

there is only 1 major piece of gear i need to get, otherwise only girl scouts get my impulse money from here on out.

@ukoldgit wow just wow, ive had the same amps for 25 yrs , vox ac 30 top boost , Marshall 2150 rock and roll baby 100 watt 1 x 12 for big or out door gigs, oh and a trace Elliot brat for practice again had it 20yrs now,
an old govnor pedal to drive the vox into melt down and a snarling dogs wah a morley wah and original cry baby from the 60s but it needs re building. All ya need really.
, got two strats and a tele and im good, yes I would like an old sg junior and a 1 watt valve amp perhaps but the trace is very good for practice so no need.
Each to there own but I don't get having so many guitars or amps I just don't see the point especially all cheapie stuff.
You could have just invested in a couple of very nice good ones IMHO.

Y'all got me beat - but I did pick up six in the last 12 months...

Squire Vintage Modified Squier Bass - Sunburst
Fender MIM Jazz Base - Sunburst
Fender MIM Precision Bass - Sun Burst
Fender American Special Telecaster - Aztec Gold
Fender FSR Player Special Stratocaster - LPB
Firefly FFTH Thinline - Matte Black

Only got rid of two this past year. One MIM Fender Strat that I traded off for a Yamaha SY77 Synth and one Yamaha FG730 that I gave away (well - forever loan).

I own 5 electric guitars, 1 acoustic, 1 bass, 1 fretless bass that is for sale, one small practice amp, one SS amp head, one cabinet, one tube amp that rarely sees any use and that used to reside in the cabinet and finally one tube amp that is about 50% finished.

Onbtopbof this I have a Digitech Trio+ that I use for practice, a delay pedal, an overdrive pedal and two microphones.

I have bought exactly one new guitar, all others have been used. I have bought and sold a quite few since I joined but that should come to an end as I'm very happy with the guitars I have now. I certainly don't want more than the 5, the room is getting crowded.
