Remember these ugly ugly fake walnut with metal accent cabinets? Recently scored this one for $20. Fits my hifi like it was made for it, (which it was)! Smells like it was in a basement for 20 years, but the boxes of baking soda seem to be slowly reducing it. My old tuner is a Sansui TU-317 from around 1978. Looks and functions great. Integrated amp is newer, a Sony TA-AX310 from mid 1980s. Sound is via a pair of Zenith Alegros from the 70s. Got a new el-cheap turntable a few months ago and have been spinning vinyl daily too. Does it sound amazing? No. But it does sound like my youth, and I’m sure enjoying hanging around used record shops, flipping through the stacks, reminiscing with the other cool-kids of eras past. Fun.
