Sweetwater had a pallet of Gibson les Paul Adam Jones silver burst guitars stolen. They posted the serial numbers in hopes of keeping them off of the market ( a high demand guitar for sure).
Damn Damn Thieves don't know... There's more money in 16 to 20 years of school.... They Just don't know... and You get laid in school
If I go too much into depth on my opinion of thieves I'll get banned, but you can be assured I'm not a fan. You can fill in the blanks.
That’s terrible. I really like Sweetwater. And I think there are very few lifeforms on this planet lower than guitar thieves.
They will probably try selling them out of state or out of country. One at a time maybe. Or off load the whole pallet for drugs. It is legal to use deadly force, at least where I live, to protect property. When we had the riots a few months ago, a guy I know who has a music store, camped out in his store with a firearm. I sometimes worry about someone trying to steal my guitars from the house, but usually my wife or I are home almost all of the time. But if someone is stupid enough to try and break in while I’m home, they’re gonna be in a world of hurt. Especially, if my wife is home at the time. It’s all insured, but that isn’t the point.
Yikes. What a spectacularly-dumb career move for that particular thief. a. Try to flip them, and you'll be caught immediately b. It's one of the ugliest guitars ever manufactured, in the history of all stringed instruments Can't fix stupid.
Nothing the driver could've done. The thieves were most likely tailing him the whole way from Nashville, observing him at truck stops to get a sense of his routine, or maybe just waiting for their chance.
Most likely the driver wouldn`t have known the specifics of his load other than number, dimensions and weight of pallets. I`d be looking elsewhere first if I was investigating.
Stealing a guitar from a musician is about the lowest. Stealing a palette load of guitars from Sweetwater does kinda sound like an inside job.
