Sunbursts - say no more - I only have one and it's a 1963 Hagstrom 12 string - dunno why I even keep it. Safe to say I'm never gonna play it again, so it hangs on the wall forever.

Perhaps this will upset some Van Halen fans, but I hate any finish that detracts from the purity of the Strat body shape. I think that Leo Fender and Co produced the most aesthetically perfect electric guitar and this is why the basic design is probably the most copied electric guitar, and why it has not been modified since 1954. So for me it has to be plain colours, or a burst following the edge contours or natural wood grain translucent finish. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people don't like pearl pickguards but I love them. I have the following Fender Strats: Fiesta red MIM with white pearl guard and gold hardware, Aztec Gold MIM with Aged white pearl guard and a 3 tone Sunburst CIJ with tortoiseshell guard.

beautiful! I love the look and feel of a stripped guitar. A buddy of mine has a 1965 jazzmaster with a disgusting mold green refin and it plays like a dream.

Wow, never seen that Apple Green color. I like. Also I also appreciate the retro single ply guard on it.

I'm not a "purist" in other areas of my life, but for some reason I don't like any color scheme that has come after around 1964.

The only colors I like are, Black, Natural, Classic Sunburst, and Cherry Red on Es-335's.

It really is a great guitar. Great feeling neck, great sounding pickups, and at least I think it looks snazzy as well.

It was a "special edition" Fender did a few years ago. I think the "Lilac" color from that same run is also very nice.

Totally agree, these are ugly guitars. Did they sell at all?

This is a tele that would look out of place anywhere except for the oval office.
