You can make yourself one at home. I remember when I was 15 years old - all of us kid guitarists were making fuzzes at home. It costed next to nothing :D

I know, there's less then a handful of components. The one in the video above has way more than that though :)

But yeah, i guess I could order parts and make a fuzz pedal for a couple of tenners.

I fell in love with my 1st fuzz back in the 70's-Maestro Fuzztone FZ-1S & have never found another that can produce the subtle creamy fuzziness to all out rasp like this old girl.

I have one fuzz that sounds very thin. It might be good for weird special tones recording.

Beyond that I dont know much about them except some of my favorite players used them.

Seems like fuzz face mini is the best deal?

I just dont want another thin sounding fuzz.

I've owned a Fuzz Face mini (blue) and didn't like it at all. Wide openbit sounded pretty good but was a bit noisy and as soon as you rolled off the fuzz it turned to mud.

I really tried to embrace fuzz tones but I just don’t like the way I sound when I play through them, so I still stick to Marshall amp gain.
