Now that I’ve got my new (to me) Strat playing and feeling great, I’m considering changing up her looks a bit.

I think cream or parchment guard & accessories might look better with the Sienna Sunburst finish than plain white. Am I crazy? :p

Also, what’s the current consensus on pearl pickguards — cool or gauche?

    I’m gonna get rhinoplasty

Your guitar looks good, but you can always try new guards and stuff
    Good luck

I used to own a 2012 Am Std in the same color and rosewood board. I put a peraloid pickguard on it and loved it.

Maybe try parchment or aged white pickup covers, knobs and switch/tremolo bar tips for a contrast to your current pickguard...

Pearloid is cool. But I think the guitar looks great as is. It might look even cooler with parchment, or a Fender brand mint green.

Personally, I go with a 3 ply B-W-B, if I were to change it. I have to say, you have a gorgeous guitar. I have a wine red mim that I got recently and it has a white guard. I had planned on swapping it, but it grew on me and I decided not to change it. You can't go wrong in your case. It'll be pleasing to the eye regardless.

I agree with most that it looks pretty damn good as is, but a cream or off-white guard would look just fine too. IMO pearl looks best on solid color guitars.

Single ply parchment with 9 holes and slotted head screws is all I would do to it.
