    It's a bit overblown.
    A researcher was on the radio this afternoon.
    The news reports are leading us to believe that they are established and a serious threat.
    There has not been a sighting since December, they are believed to have been eradicated.
    The press release that has everyone going nuts was intended to make people in the PNW aware and be on the lookout for them.
    There are no *known* colonies in North America.

    “Coyote Peterson got stung on his wildlife show.” I like how the reporter framed that, implying this was an accident and the guy didn’t hold one down and purposefully sting himself. :D
